How many cpu sockets does Windows 10 support?

I would like to build a new computer (it's been 7 years since the last one). Does Windows 10 support more than one CPU socket?

Depends on windows variant and architecture. Win10 Pro x64 supports 2 sockets, 256 logical cores and up to 512GB RAM

For more sockets you need to get a "server" os

I was looking for the answer to the same question yet find the answer right here. Btw, I noticed that windows 10 enterprise build 10240 recognized only 2 CPU sockets. But it does recognize 4 CPU sockets after I update it to build 1903.
